Diary Entry of January 22, 1875

Overview

R. passed a miserable night, and the day brought more strain as Herr Glatz arrived as the expected Siegfried and brought troubling news about Richter’s fiancée. A consultation with Skutsch suggested the legal path would hardly free us from the gentlemen, making the whole affair feel more threatening than before. Glatz then gave his first demonstration in the evening, leaving R. facing a great deal of difficult work ahead.
