Cosima's Diaries

Diary Entry of July 26, 1876

Overview

R. quarreled over the committee’s complaint that he had admitted the fire brigade to rehearsal for free, but the matter was defused through joking and Heckel’s mediation. By evening, after the third act and a long restaurant stay with Mimi and Princess B., the growing sense of the production’s shortcomings became hard to ignore.
