In the morning R. goes straight to the theater; I go to pay all sorts of calls. Dinner with Herr and Frau v. Schl. Afterward, garden party at the Feustels’; some Bayreuth people and all our artists.

Overview
R. went straight to the theater in the morning while the writer made various calls, keeping the day in motion but not especially lively. Later there was a dinner with Herr and Frau v.
