Wednesday, October 27:

With the children, gave Boni and Loulou lessons, at the same time drafted for Prince Georg the wished-for review. Richard orchestrating. He is unfortunately still not well.

In the afternoon a letter from P. Cornelius; he is intent on leaving Munich, because open hostilities are being waged there against R.

In the evening to the theater with Countess Bassenheim: Die bösen Zungen by Laube, a famous play of the “present age.” We are quite horrified and do not stay to the end. As R. says, people understand nothing but newspaper gossip; that is their whole world!
