Diary Entry of May 17, 1880
R. sleeps well but is not comfortable, complaining of abdominal trouble after being careless with soda water. He works on the biography, receives Malwida, and then has too much Wagnerian company in the evening with Corso del Monte Virgine and the Knights of the Grail. He ends the day in a bad mood and goes to bed irritated.
Monday, May 17:
R. slept well, but he still does not feel quite at ease. Since his lack of caution with the soda water he is complaining of abdominal catarrh. He works on the biography.
Arrival of Malwida, Corso del Monte Virgine, in the evening the Knights of the Grail; too much for him. He goes to bed in an ill-humor.
