R. finishes drafting and completing his circular while the household is largely occupied with a long visit from Frau von Schleinitz. Business with Dresden becomes tense over Tristan und Isolde, since payment of royalties is demanded and then refused, while friends still gather with them in the evening.
Saturday, August 28:
R. drafts and completes his circular; most of the time I am with our friend [Frau von Schleinitz] morning and afternoon.
R. is in correspondence with Dresden; they want Tristan und Isolde, he demands payment of royalties, they withdraw. Our friends with us in the evening.
